Start- u. Zielpunkt ist der Wanderparkplatz an der Pappmühle.Der Weg ist gut ausgeschildert, ein blaues "W" auf gelbem Grund. Nach seichtem Anstieg auf gut befestigtem Weg biegt man an der Baxmannbaude rechts ab.Es folgt ein steiler Aufstieg teils über Betonstufen in Richtung Klippen.Oben angekommen wird man mit einem tollen Ausblick ins Wesertal belohnt.Eine große steinerne Tischplatte lädt zum ersten Picknik ein.Der Weg führt weiter auf Kammhöhe parallel zur Klippenkante mit schöner Aussicht in Richtung Wald.Es folgen mehrere Weg Kreuzungen, aber Alle gut ausgeschildert.Den Weg säumen einige Bänke die zum Verweilen einladen.Auch eine Baude am Weg lädt zum Verweilen ein.Danach geht es teils serpentin ähnlich talabwärts. Im Tal angekommen eröffnen sich am Waldrand die Zeichen der Zivilisation. Nach einem weiteren kurzen Aufstieg in Richtung Wald geht es erneut talwärts in Richtung Parkplatz.
