Die Tour beginnt am Parkplatz direkt am Lough Hyne, einem stark salzhaltigem See, der über eine enge Verbindung noch mit dem Meer verbunden ist, in der Nähe von Baltimore.
Von hier geht's zunächst über Pfade durch einen fast urzeitlich anmutenden Wald, in dem die Bäume teils so von Moos und Efeu bewachsen sind, dass die Rinde kaum noch zu sehen ist, rauf auf den Mount Knockamagh Hill. Oben hat man einen tollen Blick auf den unter Naturschutz stehenden See, die Landschaft um Baltimore und das Meer.
Anschließend geht's dem Seeufer entlang bis zur schmalen Verbindung mit dem Meer und wieder zurück zum Parkplatz
