Vom Startpunkt an der Landstrasse in Schildlehn geht es die Strasse hoch Richtung Brandhof zum Dachsteinweg, kurz nach dem Dachsteinhaus geht es links auf den Glösalmweg (6) über einen Waldweg durch eine Tauwasserschlucht, nach kurzem Aufstieg rechts zurück vorbei an der Schlitzenalm (6) (im Sommer bewirtschaftet) über einen steilen Anstieg über eine leicht bewaldeten Weg mit schönen Aussichten zum Weg von der Walcheralm zum Dachsteinweg (671), rechts Richtung Brandalm zur Einkehr, von hier den Dachsteinweg hinunter zum Ausgangspunkt.
