Vom Scheitelpunkt des Jaufenpasses benutzt man ab der Edelweißhütte den markierten Pfad Nr. 17 bis zum Gipfel. Einige leichte Kletterstellen, die mit Drahtseilen gesichert sind, sind dabei zu überwinden. Der Abstig erfolgt auf dem Anstiegsweg.

Von Meran über das Passeiertal bzw. aus dem Ötztal über das Temmelsjoch nach St. Leonard im Passeier und auf der Staatsstraße 44 bis zum Jaufenpass.
Aus dem Eisacktal ab Sterzing ebenfalls auf der Jaufenpassstraße bis zur Passhöhe.
Hinweis: An der Edelweißhütte ist das Parken nur für Besucher der Hütte erlaubt.
