Abwechslungsreiche Strecke zum Ausrollen durch die Hügel der Maremma. Unbefestigte Straßen, Forstwege, Wanderwege. Die letzten 17 km von Massa Marittima nach Follonica sind eben, asphaltiert und stark befahren. Die Strecke auf der SS439 kann aber einfach auf Nebenstraßen verlegt werden.
Genügend Wasser und Proviant notwendig, keine Einkehrmöglichkeit entlang der Strecke. Zur Stärkung fast am Ende der Strecke nach der Otschaft Valpiana: La Novella Srl. Typische Produkte, normale Preise.
Übernachtung in Follonica im Hotel Ausonia.
