Rundwanderung auf den Höhen von Schmidt
Wie der Name der Wanderung schon andeutet eine Runde mit tollen Aus- und Fernblicken. Start der Wanderung in Schmidt, Wanderparkplatz Kirche. Wir wandern entlang des markierten Wanderweges Nr. 40 . Über den Dorfplatz geht es Richtung Sportplatz nach Kommerscheidt. Von hier zur "Schönen Aussicht" (Rursee). Dann über Scheidbaum ins Schlehbachtal nach Harscheidt. Hier überqueren wir die B 399 um dann wieder über die Höhen von Schmidt über Sportplatz zum Ausgangspunkt (Kirche) zu gelangen. Die Strecke kann auch zuerst Richtung "Schöne Aussicht" gestartet werden. Am Wegrand begleiten uns wunderschöne Panoramablicke. Da dieser Wanderweg nicht durchgehend öffentlich beschildert ist, ist die Mitnahme einer Wanderkarte Rureifel Nr. 2 empfehlenswert.
