Wir sind die Tour von Meran aus gefahren und auch wieder dort zurück. Von der Bergstation der Rittner Seilbahn in Oberbozen aus, sind es gut 65 km weniger.
Im Unterschied zur vielfach beschriebenen Tour starten wir in Oberbozen Richtung Lobishof - Tann - Pemmern, an der Aufstiegsanlage vorbei bis zur 2. Kreuzung rechts ab Weg 4 Rittnerhorn. Einige wenige Meter ist der Fahrweg mit Wurzeln bespickt, notfalls kann man die kurze Strecke auch schieben. Nach einer sehr steilen Passage in der Feltunerhütte angekommen dort weiter Richtung Rittnerhorn biegen wir unter der Rittnerhorn Hütte rechts ab Richtung Gasserhütte - Parkplatz Huber Kreuz auf 1620m.Weiter auf Asphalt bis Barbian, von dort hinunter auf den Radweg der von Brenner nach Bozen führt.
