Entlang des Drahnbachs geht es von Scharnitz auf einem breiten, leicht steigenden Schotterweg in Richtung Seefeld. Nach dem Auland führt eine lange Abfahrt auf Schotter in den Inntaler Talboden bis nach Zirl. Flach geht es dann auf einigen Kilometern bis nach Kranebitten bei Innsbruck. Von dort beginnt der Anstieg über das Höttinger Bild bis zu den zwei bewirtschafteten Umbrüggler und Arzler Alm. Bergab geht es dann nach Arzl und weiter über Rum, Thaur und Absam nach St. Michael und in weiterer Folge nach Schwaz.
