Gegenüber dem Kurhotel Salzerbad folgt man der schmalen Straße bergan.
Nach ca. 40 Minuten kommt man zur sehr gut beschilderten Abzweigung zur Gaisberghütte.
Man folgt der Forststraße und der Beschilderung durch den Wald.
Von der Gaisberghütte folgt man dem beschilderten Wandwerg weiter (wieder ins Tal) bis zum Kruckensattel.
Der Wanderweg zurück führt an einem alten Stall vorbei und orientiert sich anschließend an den gut markierten Strommasten.
Bald erreicht man eine Weide, quert diese und folgt dann der Landstraße zurück zum Ausgangspunkt.
