Georgien erreicht man recht günstig mit der ungarische Airline WIZZ Air, die aus drei Orten in Deutschland Kutaissi anfliegt. Der Flughafen liegt etwa 20 Kilomenter außerhalb der Stadt. Von hier aus gibt es Marshrutkas nach Mestia. Abfahrt in der Nähe des Bahnhof - zu Erreichen mit der Stadtbuslinie 1. Die Fahrt nach Mestia dauert etwa 5 Stunden.
