Unsere „Eroberung“ der Marksburg startet vom Ortskern Braubach aus. Nach dem kuturellen Highlight zu Beginn der 12. Etappe, steht nun die Natur im Vordergrund. Bis zum letzten Drittel der Tour ist man viel im Wald unterwegs. Dennoch gibt es hier einige herrliche Aussichten auf den Rhein. Erst rund um Filsen gibt es größere Abschnitte über Freiflächen.
