Nachdem ich die Mündung der Kessel kenne und auch so gern im Kesseltal unterwegs bin wollte ich mir mal die Quelle ansehen. Gestartet bin ich in Aufhausen. Wegweiser zur Quelle habe ich erst am Waldrand und im Wald gesehen. Mit dem GPS-Track sollte es aber leicht sein die Quelle im Wald zu finden.
An der Quelle gibt es dann eine Info-Tafel und einen Rastplatz.

Nach Aufhausen fahren. In Aufhausen habe ich beim evangelischen Gemeindehaus (war wohl vorher eine Sparkassen Filiale) geparkt.
Von Donauwörth (Mündung der Kessel) kommend über Erlingshofen, Bissingen, Diemantstein, Unterringgingen, Amerdingen und dann Aufhausen.
