Nach den ersten 4 km parallel zum Achenlauf führt die Strecke hinauf nach Oberaurach und weiter auf die sonnigen Wiesen des Sonnbergs. In wechselnder Steigung und Gefälle läuft man, immer mit Blick über den gesamten Kitzbüheler Talkessel weiter Richtung Osten. Vorbei an der Ebner Kapelle über malerische Wege hinunter Richtung Stadt trifft die Strecke beim Golfclub Kitzbühel auf den Malern-Walk, mit dem es parallel gemütlich zum Ausgangspunkt zurückgeht.
