Die Tour beginnt am Roten Kreuz unterhalb des Feldberges und geht zuerst einmal zur Weilquelle. Von dort führt der Weg durch das Weiltal bis zur Mündung in die Lahn und weiter bis nach Weilburg. Von dort kann man mit dem Weiltalbus um 15:10 und um 17:25 Uhr (Stand 08.2008) zurück zum Sandplacken fahren. Der Weg ist übrigens auch sehr gut durch Schilder markiert.
