Start ist ca. 400m von der Sportschule Werdau entfernt. Nach dem Start leicht ansteigend, bis zur Waldsiedlung und weiter bis zur Cotta-Eiche (Waldgrenze) dann noch bis Kilometer 11,3. Ab hier sind zwei Waldrunden mit jeweils ca. 10km zu laufen. Nach der zweiten Runde ist der Rückweg identisch mit dem Startweg. Die letzten 2 km sind geländeabfallend zu laufen. Im Zielbereich ist noch eine halbe Stadionrunde zu absolvieren.
