Start und Ziel ist das Forschungszentrum in Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen. Die Stecke verläuft über Büchig, Grötzingen und Pfinztal nach Remchingen im Flachen, danach beginnen einige Steigungen. Von Ellmendingen nach Schwann noch gemäßigt, dann relativ steil nach Dennach hinauf. Hinüber nach Dobel etwas wellig, aber kaum der Rede wert. Dann geht es ein ganzes Stück bergab - endlich ;-), bis Bad Herrenalb. Über Marxzell, Ettlingen und Karlsruhe geht es dann flach nach zum Startpunkt zurück.
