Schöne Tour mit herrlicher Aussicht. Der Aufstieg ist anstrend und schweißtreibend. Teilweise lässt die Pflege des Weges zu wünschen übrig. Dennoch zu empfehlen, da man mit dem herrlichen Ausblick belohnt wird. Leider ist der Turm auf dem Penegal gesperrt.
Beim Abstieg vom Mendelpass nimmt man den Alten Mendelsteig. Hier habe ich eine Datenungenauigkeit darin. Ich habe es aber mit Alter Mendelsteig in den Daten vermerkt.
