Die ersten 70km geht es ganz leicht bergauf. Danach wechseln kurze giftige Anstiege mit langen Bergaufstrecken ab.
Start ist in Bad Neuenahr im Ortsteil Bachem. (Dort kann auch geparkt werden). Die Strecke führt über Ahrweiler das Ahrtal hinauf über Dümpelfeld - Müsch - Ahütte - Niederehe - Kerpen - Pelm - Gerolstein - Pelm - Kirchweiler - Dockweiler - Kelberg - Hünerbach - Meuspath - Hohe Acht - Kaltenborn - Kesseling - Ramersbach - Ahrweiler zurück zum Start.
