Von Chemnitz geht es in Richtung Rabenstein/Totenstein bergan. Eine leicht hügelige Strecke durch überwiegend bewaldete asphaltierte Strecke. Regenfrei treffen wir in Altenburg ein, die Stadt die kein unbedingter "Genuss" für Radler, denn sie hat noch viel Kopfsteinpflaster, was allerdings den Charakter und das Flair dieses Ortes und restaurierten Bürgerhäusern und Villen prägt. Bei einem Bummel durch die Gassen kann man so manche Eigenart kennenlernen. Ein geführte Stadtrundgang startet täglich 18:00 Uhr an der Stadtinformation. Der Besuch der Burg (incl. Spielkartenmuseum) ist ein Highlight, jedoch sollte man dafür 2-3 Std. Zeit einplanen.
