Mit dieser Tour möchte ich eine Alternativ-Route auf den Kniebis vorstellen. Wie auch die Tour über Sankenbach nach Kniebis verläuft diese ebenfalls im Wald, fern ab des Straßenverkehrs. Die Straße zwischen Mitteltal und Kniebis ist in einem sehr guten Zustand, auch bergab kein Problem. An einigen Stellen (hier war wohl Lothar am Werk) hat man einen schönen Blick in das Tal. Den Elbachsee sieht man leider nicht.
Als Ergänzung kann hier auch der Abstecher nach Bad Rippoldsau und Zwieselberg erfolgen. Plus 15 km - 340 Hm.
