Vertrek aan het Lac du Lys, nabij de camping van Vihiers. Er is parkeergelegenheid voorhande.
Dit is een bewegwijzerde VTT-route ( Lys- Layon nr 8). De aanduidingen zijn volledig, enkel bij het begin en in Vihiers zelf is het af en toe even zoeken.
Lichtgolvend landschap; afwisselend kleine asfaltbaantjes en onverharde veld- en boswegen.
