Einige km außerhalb von Bad Herrenberg geht es beim Käppele mit einem schönen Talblick los. Die Route führt über angenehme Waldwege zunächst aufwärts. Wunderbare Panoramablicke über die Rheinebene, geschaffen vom Jahrhundert-Sturm "Lothar". In Frauenalp, gegebenenfalls nach einer Einkehr, steigt man in die Straßenbahn wieder zurück nach Herrenalb. Dort nimmt man den Bus gleich beim Bahnhof nach Baden-Baden der mittem im Wald beim Käppele eine Haltestelle hat. Rund um den 20.August gibts das Klosterfest in Frauenalp und das Bahnhofsfest in Bad Herrenalp
