Die Tour beginnt am Sportpark Bad Harzburg wo Parkmöglichkeit vorhanden ist. Den Herbrink hinauf und dann auf dem Stadtstieg durch die Gestütswiesen. Am Cafe Goldberg vorbei auf dem 48 Pfennig Weg in das Schlackental. An der Schwarzen Klippe und am Henniborn vorbei erreichen wir die Schutzhütte Alt Schlewecke. Über einen kleinen Pfad kommen wir auf den Quarzbruchweg, der uns über den Harzburger Rundweg wieder zum Ausganspunkt bringt.
