3 loops of 60km on a pancake flat course that gets pretty hot and windy during the day. The tarmac quality is (very) good but quite rough, so you do not have a very smooth feeling while riding. But no pottholes nor bumps, just typical Australian rough tarmac.
The bike leg is followed by a 3 loops run along the beach from Busselton to the south; out and back. Very nice views to the ocean and the jetty, but also quite warm; whereas late finishers may need to get used to the evening cold as well.
Very nice race overall with the icing on the cake being definitely the swim in the crystal clear ocean along the Busselton jetty.
