Wir haben die Wanderung bei der Kapelle in Sand begonnen. Über die Hertahütte (herrlicher Ausblick ins Umland) und die Kohlbergwiese erreicht man dann schon das erste Gasthaus mitten im Wald, wo sich bestens einkehren lässt. Ab hier geht es eine Stunde bergab über die Höhen zu einer weiteren Bergwirtschaft, die Schnapbachschänke. Wir sind dann allerdings hier weitergewandert bis hinunter in den Ort Bühlertal, wo wir dann im Gasthaus Rebstock zu Mittag gegessen haben. Vom Rebstock geht es dann talauswärts, entlang der Bühlot bis zur Besenwirtschaft Falkenhorst, wo man den Tag ausklingen lassen kann.
