Von Clausthal-Zellerfeld vorbei am Hirschler Teich über die B 242. Auf dem "Kehrzug" zum "Buntenböcker Bahnhof". Hier hinab zum Sösestausee. Über den Damm der Vorsperre. Geradeaus weiter. Zuerst in südlicher, später östlicher Richtung hinauf auf den Höhenzug des Ackers. Nach einem Abstecher zur "Hanskühnenburg" auf der Ackerstraße bis zur Information des Naturparks. Hier links und hinab ins Sösetal zum Sösewehr.. Auf der Forststraße zum Dammhaus. Über den Sperberhaier Damm dem Graben folgend zurück nach Clausthal-Zellerfeld.
