Parkplatz am Fuße des Traunsteins. Aufstieg über den Hernler Steig, es ist Felsig und sehr Steil. Nach ca. zweieinhalb Stunden erreichten wir das Gipfelkreuz. Auf der Gmundnerhütte eine kurze Einkehr und über den Naturfreunde Steig wieder Abwärts. Gutes Schuhwerk und Trittsicherheit ist auf den Traunstein sicherlich gefragt.
