mit dem Grubigstein-Sessellift fährt man bis zur Grubigsteinhütte 2028m ab hier geht der Wanderweg an der Skipiste entlang und zweigt dann links ab zur Wolfratshausener Hütte. Kurz vor der Hütte führt ein schmaler Trampelpfad teilw. mit Seil gesichert über den Grat hinunter zur Gartner Alm (Einkehr). Ab der Alm gibt es zwei Wege den Forstweg od. den schmalen Steig! Der Steig geht am Hang entlang dann über Untergarten Richtung Talstation .
