Start Parkplatz "Festwiese" in Neustadt an der Weinstraße.In Richtung Lambrecht , am Ortsausgang links in die Schöntalstraße in das Kaltbrunnertal einbiegen.Recht idylisch am Bächlein entlang. Dann auf recht großzügigen Forstwegen hoch bis zur Totenkopfhütte ( Einkehr möglich ). Dann weiter ( weiß/grüner Wanderweg ) in Richtung Kalmit ( zum Schluß Straße ). An der Straße bei ca 610 Höhenmetern abbiegen zur Kalmitspitze auf 673 HM ( Einkehr möglich ). Nach einer kurzen Pause Abfahrt über die Straße nach Maikammer. Über Diedesfeld zurück nach Neustadt Parkplatz.
