Start an der Staumauer des Wehratalstausees, über die Staumauer und dann auf dem Wanderweg (Schluchtensteig) bis zur Steinbrücke (Ehwaldbrücke), Abstecher zur Mettlenhütte mit Rastmöglichkeit (Wasser und Plumpsklo) und schöner Aussicht
Auf der östlichen Seite des Wehratals geht es zunächst steil bergauf, dann auf bequemen Forstwegen über Ehwaldhütte und Felsenhütte zurück
