Von dem wenig beschaulichem Ort Avola geht es rasch nordwärts auf einer serpentinenreichen Asphaltstraße. Nach etwa 500 Höhenmetern erreicht man den Parkplatz bei der Cava Grande, Siziliens Grand Canyon. Dort lässt man seinen Ausweis als Pfand bei den Parkwächtern und steigt hinab zu den wunderschönen Laghetti. In den Riesengumpen kann man herrlich baden und hineinspringen.
Anschließend geht es Richtung Noto Antica, welches per Bike durchfahren wird. Danach kommt man zum heutigen Noto, wo man sich die Innenstadt nicht entgehen lassen sollte. Es folgt eine Asphaltabfahrt bis zum Ausgangspunkt in Avola.
