von der Pension Winkel in Braunlage geht es die Alte Bad Harzburger rauf nach Königskrug, dann Bärenbrücke, alter Steinbruch immer bergauf, am rodelhaus lins ab Richtung Bratwurst und dann zum Schanzenauslauf der Wurmberg Skischanze. Hier an der Schierker Baude rechts halten auf Plattenweg links Richtung Schierke. An der weggabelung Wegweiser links Richtung Oberschierke an der Bobbahn vorbei runter in den Ort Schierke an der Jugendherberge, dann durch den Ort nach Unterschierke und dann rasante Talabfahrt durchs Elendstal. In Elend wieder stetig bergauf bis Braunlage.
