Parken in Hauenstein auf dem Parkplatz eines Supermaktes. Dann geht es den Schusterpfad lang. Gut ausgeschildert. An der Dicken Eiche vorbei zur gleichnamigen Hütte. Die Dicke Eiche wurde Opfer von Vandalen und musste 2011 durch eine dünne junge Eiche ersetzt werden. Zurück zum Ausgangspunkt geht es den Seerosenweg lang. In Hauenstein kann man dann in den auch sonntags geöffneten Geschäften Schuhe, Outdoorklamotten und Fahräder kaufen. Auch gibt es ein Schuh- und Sportmuseum und ein Freibad mit 50 Meterbecken.
