Der Hinweg ist fast kreuzungsfrei über die "HOAG"-Bahntrasse nach Walsum. Zurück geht es an der Kleinen Emscher.
Alternativer Startpunkt ist der Parkplatz 3 am Stadion Niederrhein. Ab dort kann die Tour "pur" gefahren werden und ist nur ca. 22 km lang.
Zwischen WP 4 + 7 gibt es noch eine Umleitung über die Von-Trotha- und Weierstraße.
