Start dieser Rundwanderung ist der Bahnhof in Bodenmais. Durch den Kurpark, vorbei am Friedhof, geht es über eine Wiese zur 500-jährigen Eiche. Ab der Fa. Joska beginnt der Aufstieg mit 220 Hm zum Sternknöckel. Schöne Aussicht auf Bodenmais und den Großen Arber.
Nach dem Abstieg führt dich der Weg durch Böbrach zum Brauereigasthof Eck. Nach einer zünftigen Brotzeit ist das nächste Ziel die Böbracher Mühle am Rothbach. Es folgen leichte Anstiege und abwechselungsreiche Wege entlang des Rothbaches bis nach Bodenmais.
