The tour starts from the Ciucea train station (having access from Cluj-Napoca or either Oradea).
Cross the bridge over Crisul Repede and head south paralelly with the Surduc river to Dragan-Floroiu lake.
After the lake you will be guided in several places by the blue line mark on trees (dont expect to be too many of them :)
You will reach "Stana de Izvor" 1339 m and under the peak "Muncelasu" 1415 you will reach the alpine area where you will be astonished by the view of "Vladeasa" on the left hand and in front the "Carligatele" from where you can reach to "Padis" as well.
The road guides you to "Stana de Vale" where unfortunately you wont find the Austrian developed touristic "smell" but it will do if you do not take this into consideration.
In order to be more confortable with your track you can buy the map "Muntii Apuseni 1:200.000" offering you an idea about the direction.
