Die Tour ist im Rother Wanderführer "Savoyen" Nr. 39 sehr gut beschrieben.
Sehr gut markierter Weg; in La Plagne in Richtung Col de l'Alpette gehen und weiter bis zum Pas des Barres; hier geht es aufwärts - steile Felsenpassage, teils gesichert - nicht schwierig. Hoch bis zum Grat und auf diesem an der Abzweigung vorbei (an der wir beim Rückweg bergab gehen werden) bis zum Gipfel. Zurück bis zur Abzweigung "Balme" und hier rechts gehen. Steil in Serpentinen bergab bis zur Grotte Balme à Colon und durchschreiten diese (eine Taschenlampe, um die Höhle zu erkundingen...); abwärts bis nach La Plagne.
