Einfache Wanderung auf dem Wamberger Rücken. Das ganze Jahr möglich, im Winter sollte die Ausrüstung allerdings der Jahreszeit angepasst sein, da der Weg meist nicht geräumt ist. Schöne Blicke über Partenkirchen und zum Wetterstein sind garantiert. Verschiedene Wege von der Elmauer Alm zurück sind möglich, Wegweiser und Karten zeigen die Alternativen.

Anfahrt auf der Bundesstrasse B2 oder B23 nach Garmisch-Partenkirchen und dann Richtung Skistadion bzw. Partnachklamm halten. Am Skistadion links vorbei sind Parkplätze und die Talstation der Eckbauerbahn. Die allein ist schon sehenswert.
