Die Schneeschuhtour führt von der Gisiboden-Alm über das Bernauer Kreuz zum Herzogenhorn. Von dort hat man eine tolle Rundsicht zum Feldberg und auch zu den Alpen. Der Rückweg führt über Hofeck wieder zum Ausgangspunkt zurück.
Um Spaß daran zu haben ist eine gute Grundkondition und auch eine fortgeschrittene Technik ratsam, da ein Stück auf schmalem Pfad durch den Wald (Hanglage) führt. Ansonsten überwiegend auf Waldwegen und Freiflächen.
Zum Abschluß ist eine Einkehr in der Gisiboden-Alm empfehlenswert.
