Empfehlenswerte Rundwanderung mit herrlichen Ausblicken und romantischer Wegführung.
Start der Wanderung ist ein kleiner Wanderparkplatz an der Freiwilligen Feuerwehr Altenau. Man geht links am Feuerwehrhaus vorbei und schlängelt sich auf einem Wiesenweg auf den Kunstberg.
Über den Dammgraben hinweg geht es auf dem Gustav-Baumann-Weg zur Wilde-Sau-Hütte und weiter auf die Wolfswarte. Auf der Wolfswarte erwartet uns ein herrlicher Rundblick.
Es geht dann Richtung Torfhaus auf den Magdeburger Weg. Zurück folgt man dem Harzer-Hexenstieg über die Steile Wand und dem Dammgraben auf den Kunstberg und abwärts zum Ausgangspunkt.
