Streckenverlauf der Wanderung
Die Wanderung beginnt auf dem Parkplatz Mittelweg, auch bekannt als 2. Parkplatz. Von hier führt die Wanderung vorbei an der Haukhütte bis zum südlichen Elmrand, wo sich am Rastplatz Heesebergblick ein Picknick anbietet, um den Blick über den Heeseberg hinweg bis zum 1141 m hohen Brocken genießen zu können.Am Waldrand entlang wird das Kaltetal erreicht und ein Abstecher zum Goldenen Hirsch ist obligatorisch.Zum Abschluss der Wanderung führt ein schmaler Pfad zurück zum Ausgangspunkt.
