Start an der Bergstation der Hochmut-Seilbahn, von da gemächlich auf einem Felsenweg bis zur Abzweigung zur Taufenscharte. Von da an sehr steil zuerst durch den Wald dann in der Scharte nach oben, der letzte Rest zum Gipfel ist dann eher wieder flach. Auf gut befestigten Wegen über den Mutkopf zurück zur Gondel.
