Castricum - Bergen aan Zee - Alkmaar - Castricum
The tour starts at the P&R parking place in Castricum, right next to the train station. The first part of the track to Bergen aan Zee leads through beautiful dunes. The last, and at the same time, most beautiful part of the track through the dunes just before Bergen theoretically requires buying an entry ticket ... This part through the dunes is not really suitable for racing bikes, the cycling path is quite uneven, which is not really ideal for racing bikers, but feasible.
After Bergen aan Zee, the track leads to Alkmaar, where a stop for a quick bite and drink on the market place in front of the church / cheese museum comes naturally. From Alkmaar, the track leads back on smooth bike paths through green and foresty areas. The last part before Castricum, again, leads through some forest / dune area. The track ends at the trein station on the P&R parking place in Castricum.
