In Plesching biegt man bei der Fischerhütte (Kilimanscharo) ab und geht gleich steil die Straße bergauf. Man erreicht relativ rasch die erste Anhöhe wo man einen schönen Blick über Linz hat. Die Strecke ist gut beschildert und man hat einige Möglichkeiten das Gipfelkreuz des Pfenningberges zu erreichen.
