Der Stechlin ist einer der saubersten und klarsten Seen in Deutschland, er ist idyllisch gelegen und eignet sich ausgezeichnet für die eine oder andere Tagestour.
Herrentag 2014 - stark bewölkt, aber trocken, bei 13 Grad Lufttemperatur war niemand baden - erstaunlich wenig Wanderer und Radfahrer.
Mit dem Auto ging's nach Neuglobsow, dann zu Fuß einmal rund um den Stechlin. Das anspruchvollste an diesem meist naturbelassenen Weg sind die Wurzeln. Der Weg läuft mit einer Ausnahme immer am Ufer entlang, es gibt nur eine leichte Anhöhe. Direkt am Weg gibt es keine Siedlung oder ähnliches. Der See liegt im Naturschutzgebiet, es gibt eine Badestelle, einen Bootsverleih und ein SB-Fischrestaurant.
