Die Tour beginnt in Eisensteinerhütte. Bis zu Brennes ist der Anstieg recht flach. Ab dort geht es weiter auf dem Wanderweg bis zum Gasthaus Sonnenfels. Dort beginnt der finale Anstieg zum Gipfel.
Die Abfahrt vom Gipfel erfolgt über die Skipiste. Ab Brennes geht es auf dem gleichen Weg zurück nach Bayerisch Eisenstein.

Von Norden her St 2154 bis Bayerisch Eisenstein. In Bayerisch Eisenstein in Richtung Zwiesel halten. Kurz vor dem Ortsausgang recht abbiegen in Richtung Eisensteinerhütte.
Von Süden her die B 11. Am Ortseingang links abbiegen in Richtung Eisensteinerhütte.
