Start & Ziel ist der beliebte Gasthof Gregori in Wölkersdorf, auch d'Reim (bayerisch für Kurve) genannt.
Die Tour führt an mehreren Aussichtspunkten mit traumhaften Blicken auf Bad Kötzting und umliegende Ortschaften.
Für PKW-Anreisende gibt es die alternativen Startpunkte bei der Wallfahrtskirche Weißenregen, dem Höllensteinsee, in Blaibach sowie der Wanderparkplatz nähe Neukolmberg.
Die Tour eignet sich auch an Tagen mit wechselhafter Wetterlage. da bei Wetterverschlechterung jederzeit ein kurzer Rückweg zum Ausgangspunkt möglich ist.
Nach starken Regenfällen sollte jedoch 1-2 Tage abgewartet werden, damit die Wege abtrocknen können.
