Von Schmidt geht es bergab bis Blens und dann nach Heimbach.
Von dort geht oder fährt man(Rurseebahn) bis Schwammenauel.
Ab Schwammenauel kann man ebenfalls wählen ,ob man geht oder mit der Rurseeschifffahrt bis Eschauel fährt.
Von Eschauel geht es bergauf nach Schmidt.
Einkehrmöglichkeiten gibt es genug.
