Von der Bushaltestelle Kandelpark in Waldkirch geht es zunächst zur Ruine Schwarzenburg. Von dort geht es über die Langeckhütte und den Damenpfad zum Kandel. Der Abstieg vom Kandel erfolgt zunächst über den Serpentinenweg und anschließend über den Rotwasserweg zum Gasthaus Altersbach. Von dort geht es zurück zum Ausgangspunkt.
