Zunächst geht es mäßig, später sehr steil auf Schotterwegen bergauf. Dann wird der Weg zum Pfad und es geht im Zick-Zack zur Schnappenkirche. Von hier aus hat man einen traumhaften Ausblick auf das Chiemgau und den Chiemsee. Nach weiteren 20 min kommt man dann an die Staudacher Alm, die zum Einkehren einlädt. Wer noch Zeit hat, kann den Hochgern besteigen. Wir mussten leider aus Zeitgründen zurück zum Ausgangspunkt. Der Abstieg ist einfach und schneller als der Aufsteig. Der Weg ist durchgehend breit und geschottert.
